Three routes caught my eye this week, and one of them is a genuine unicorn. Qatar Airways has opened up a stack of off-peak award space across its network - economy to the US from Doha for just 35,000 points, business class to Paris for 42,500 points, and - the one that really stopped me in my tracks - First Class to the Maldives for 52,500 points in about a month's time.

The Doha to Maldives economy deal at just 17,500 points is particularly eye-catching if you're happy to fly economy for a short-haul hop. That's an absolute bargain for a paradise destination.
