| Qatar's Doha Hub Is Wide Open - And the Bonuses Make It Even Sweeter |
Three routes caught my eye this week, and one of them is a genuine unicorn. Qatar Airways has opened up award space across the board from Doha - economy, business, and first class - across routes to North America, Europe, Asia, and the Maldives. On its own, that's interesting. But stack the current 35% Citi ThankYou to Qatar Privilege Club Avios transfer bonus on top, and some of these deals get genuinely jaw-dropping.
The standout? First Class from Doha to Paris for just 60,000 Avios one-way at off-peak rates - which works out to roughly 44,500 Citi ThankYou points after the bonus. That is elite-level value, and it does not happen often. But there is plenty here across every budget, so let's get into it.

That means 60,000 Avios costs you just 44,500 Citi ThankYou points. Qatar First Class for under 45k points is the kind of value that makes this hobby worthwhile.
Qatar First Class - the Qsuite equivalent on long-haul routes - retails for well over $3,000 one-way. At 60,000 Avios, you are looking at 5+ cents per point in value. With the Citi transfer bonus applied, that number climbs even higher.
