This Week's Deals
If you've been sitting on a stash of Avios or Qantas Points waiting for the right moment, today might just be it. Qatar Airways has opened up some genuinely strong award space this week - Economy seats from Doha to the US for off-peak rates, and a Business Class seat to New York that rarely shows up at this price point.
There's also a Doha to London Economy deal at just 20,000 points that caught my eye - more on that below. And in the hotel section, there's a Hyatt redemption that's hitting 7.4 cents per point. That one alone is worth scrolling for.
Miles & Points Trivia
Before we get into the deals, here's your weekly brain teaser. This week's question is tied to one of the hotel redemptions featured below:
Which hotel loyalty program is widely considered to offer the best value for luxury resort redemptions, regularly delivering 4+ cents per point at top-tier properties?
A) Marriott Bonvoy
B) Hilton Honors
C) World of Hyatt
D) IHG One Rewards
The answer is at the bottom of today's newsletter - keep scrolling!
🚨 Deal of the Week: Qatar Airways Business Class - Doha to New York
Route: Doha (DOH) to New York (JFK) on Qatar Airways - Business Class (Qsuite)
Points required: Just 80,000 points one-way at off-peak pricing
Available date: June 30 (Tuesday) - just ahead of the Independence Day travel rush
Availability: Low - this one won't stick around
Why it's special: Qatar's Qsuite is consistently rated one of the best Business Class products in the sky - fully flat beds, sliding privacy doors, and a genuine first-class experience at a Business Class price point. Getting a seat at the off-peak rate of 80,000 points when the peak rate jumps to 120,000 is a meaningful saving. The fact that this date sits right before the Fourth of July window makes it even more valuable - cash fares at this time of year are brutal.
How to book: Search for award space through Qatar Airways' Privilege Club program directly. Avios (British Airways Executive Club) also prices Qatar Airways redemptions and is worth checking for availability on the same date. If you hold Qantas Points, those can be used on Qatar Airways too through the oneworld partnership.
✈️ Economy Deals: Departing from the Middle East
All of this week's economy availability is on Qatar Airways departing from Doha. These are off-peak rates, which means you're getting solid value compared to what peak season normally costs.
Doha to London (DOH - LHR)
20,000 points one-way - Economy Class
Available: Jun 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 - strong availability across the week
Availability: High. This is the standout economy deal this week - 20,000 points for a long-haul transcon is a clean, no-fuss redemption. Peak pricing on this route would run 30,000 points, so you're saving a third. Worth stacking with a positioning flight or hotel stay in London.
Doha to New York (DOH - JFK)
35,000 points one-way - Economy Class
Available: Jun 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 - multiple seats open including both weekend dates
Availability: High. The early June window here is great if you're flexible. Peak would cost 50,000 points, so you're banking 15,000 points in savings.
Doha to Los Angeles (DOH - LAX)
35,000 points one-way - Economy Class
Available: Jun 7, 10, 11, 12, 13 - good spread across the two-week window
Availability: High. Doha to LA is a proper long-haul hop - typically around 16 hours. Getting on board at 35,000 points off-peak is solid. If you've got a redemption goal in California, this gets you there efficiently.
Doha to San Francisco (DOH - SFO)
35,000 points one-way - Economy Class
Available: Jun 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 - includes both weekend dates
Availability: Medium - move sooner rather than later on this one. The mid-to-late June window is popular and medium availability means seats are moving.
🏨 Featured Hotel Redemptions
Two hotels stood out from this week's redemption data - one for sheer luxury value, and one that's genuinely hard to believe at this price point.
Hyatt: Miraval Arizona Resort and Spa - Tucson, AZ
7.4 cents per point value - approximately 70,250 World of Hyatt points per night
This is the headline redemption this week. Miraval is a legendary all-inclusive wellness resort - think spa treatments, fitness classes, and activities all bundled in. Cash rates here are eye-watering, which is exactly why burning Hyatt points here makes so much sense. At 7.4 cents per point, you're getting more than double the typical value from a Hyatt redemption.
Hyatt: The Cape, A Thompson Hotel - Cabo San Lucas, MX
4.8 cents per point value - approximately 35,000 World of Hyatt points per night
If Cabo is on your list, The Cape is an exceptional property right on the tip of the Baja Peninsula. At just 35,000 points a night and 4.8 cents per point value, this is one of the best beach resort deals in the program right now. Use the 5th night free benefit on a longer stay and the value climbs even further.
The full hotel list - including Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and more Hyatt properties - is waiting for premium subscribers below. There are 12 total redemptions this week across some seriously impressive properties.
