Hong Kong Award Space Is Everywhere Right Now

Three routes caught my eye this week, and honestly the whole batch is a genuine flood. Hong Kong award availability has cracked wide open across virtually every major route - London, Paris, Frankfurt, New York, LA, San Francisco, Vancouver - and it spans Economy, Premium Economy, and even Business Class.

If you have been sitting on Asia Miles, Avios, or any transferable currency and have been eyeing a trip to or from Hong Kong, this week is the week to move. Dates start as soon as Nov 1 - that is just over two weeks away.

One more thing before we get into the deals - the Chase Ultimate Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy 70% transfer bonus ENDS TODAY. If you have been planning a Marriott redemption, stop reading, go transfer, and come back. I will wait.

Miles & Points Trivia

This week's trivia is inspired by today's bumper crop of Hong Kong deals. Here is your question:

Which transferable points currency currently has the LARGEST active transfer bonus to a Flying Blue (Air France/KLM) partner this week?

  • Amex Membership Rewards (+25% to Flying Blue)

  • Chase Ultimate Rewards (+70% to Marriott)

  • Rove Miles (+40% to Flying Blue)

  • Citi ThankYou Rewards (+35% to Qatar Avios)

The answer is at the bottom of today's newsletter... keep scrolling!

Deal of the Week: Frankfurt to Hong Kong Business Class

91k points for a genuinely rare Business Class find

Frankfurt (FRA) to Hong Kong (HKG) - Business Class. Just 91,000 points one-way, with availability showing up in late November.

Available dates: Nov 26, Nov 27, and Nov 29. Availability is Low, so this one will not hang around.

Now here is where it gets interesting. Citi ThankYou has a 35% transfer bonus to Qatar Privilege Club Avios running right now (ends October 31, in 16 days). Qatar Privilege Club is a Oneworld partner, and Oneworld carriers serve this route - meaning you could potentially cover a 91,000-point redemption with significantly fewer Citi points after the bonus lands. That is real money saved on a flight that regularly prices at $4,000+ in cash.

The bottom line

Late November Business Class from Frankfurt to Hong Kong for 91,000 points is a legitimately strong find - low availability means you need to act now. Transfer Citi ThankYou to Qatar Privilege Club Avios before October 31 to maximise value, then search availability through the Qatar Privilege Club portal or a Oneworld partner's booking tool.
