This Week's Deals Are All About Hong Kong
Three routes caught my eye this week, and honestly the whole batch tells one consistent story: Cathay Pacific has opened up a serious amount of award space out of and into Hong Kong for late March. Off-peak pricing across the board, multiple dates, and some genuinely excellent value on the premium cabin side.
If you've been sitting on Asia Miles or points transferable to Cathay, now is the time to move. Late March dates are clustering around Mar 27-31 - that's right around the Easter travel window, and off-peak rates don't usually survive that long. Let's get into it.
Miles & Points Trivia
Speaking of Cathay Pacific - how well do you know Asia Miles pricing? Here's your question for this week:
What is the Asia Miles off-peak one-way economy award rate from Hong Kong to New York (JFK)?
A) 30,000 miles
B) 40,000 miles
C) 50,000 miles
D) 55,000 miles
The answer is at the bottom of today's newsletter - keep scrolling!
🚨 Deal of the Week: Hong Kong to Frankfurt in Premium Economy for 67,500 Points
Why is this the Deal of the Week? Premium Economy on Cathay Pacific's HKG-FRA route is legitimately one of the best Premium Economy products in the sky - Cathay's "Premium Economy" is a proper cabin with wider seats, more recline, dedicated meal service, and a real footrest. This isn't a glorified economy seat.
Cash prices for this route in Premium Economy typically run $1,500-$2,000+ one-way during this period. At 67,500 points, you're looking at around 2.2-3.0 cents per point in value - solid for Premium Economy. But the real story is the availability: Premium Economy award space on Cathay longhaul to Europe is genuinely hard to find, and having two consecutive dates open is unusual.
Availability is listed as Low, so this won't last. If Mar 29 or 30 works for you, act fast.

🏨 Featured Hotel Redemptions
A couple of standout hotel redemptions worth flagging before we get to the premium deals. The full list is waiting for you below the paywall.
The Naka Island, Luxury Collection - Phuket (Marriott)
This is the best cpp value in this entire week's hotel list. The Naka Island is a private island resort accessible only by boat - the kind of place that cash rates easily hit $550+ per night. At 80,000 points, this is exceptional. Book 5 nights and the 5th is free, making it even better value.
Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya (Hyatt)
Tokyo hotels on points are always a great deal given how expensive the city can be, and 20,000 Hyatt points per night is a steal for Shibuya. Chase Ultimate Rewards transfers to Hyatt at 1:1 - and with Wyndham now also joining Chase's partner lineup, your Chase points are only getting more flexible.
