🚨 Deal of the Week: Frankfurt to Hong Kong in Business Class

Route: Frankfurt (FRA) to Hong Kong (HKG) on Cathay Pacific - Business Class

Points required: 100,000 Asia Miles one-way (off-peak pricing)

Available: May 26 (Tuesday)

Availability: Low - move quickly on this one

Why it's special: Cathay Pacific business class is one of the most consistently celebrated long-haul products in the world - and getting it at the off-peak rate of 100,000 miles on a route that typically prices much higher at peak is a legitimate win. The FRA-HKG route is a full long-haul flight and Cathay's business product includes direct aisle access, full flat beds, and one of the best inflight dining programs in the sky.

With the current Capital One to JAL +30% transfer bonus (expires April 30), if you're flexible on carrier you can stretch your points even further on connecting Asia routes. But for this specific Cathay booking, Asia Miles is your currency.

How to book: Search availability on the Cathay Pacific website using Asia Miles. Transfer points from eligible partners into Asia Miles before searching - availability is live now but won't last long at this price tier.

✈️ Economy Deals: Departing from Asia-Pacific

Hong Kong is absolutely the departure region to watch this week. Cathay Pacific has opened up a significant chunk of availability on routes to North America and Europe, and most of it is sitting at off-peak pricing. Here's the breakdown:

Hong Kong to New York (JFK) - Economy - 40,000 points | May 22-26 | Availability: High

Hong Kong to Los Angeles - Economy - 40,000 points | May 22-26 | Availability: High

Hong Kong to San Francisco - Economy - 40,000 points | May 22-26 | Availability: High

Hong Kong to Vancouver - Economy - 40,000 points | May 22-27 | Availability: Medium

Hong Kong to London - Economy - 45,000 points | May 25-28 | Availability: Low

Hong Kong to Paris - Economy - 45,000 points | May 26-27 | Availability: Low

Hong Kong to Frankfurt - Economy - 45,000 points | May 23-27 | Availability: Medium

The North America routes at 40,000 points are the standout value here. High availability on HKG-LAX, HKG-SFO, and HKG-JFK means you have some breathing room to plan - though at off-peak rates, these won't stick around once the summer travel surge picks up.

✈️ Economy Deals: Departing from North America

Vancouver to Hong Kong - Economy - 40,000 points | May 22-23, May 26 | Availability: Low

Slim pickings heading westbound from North America this week, but the Vancouver-Hong Kong route at 40,000 points at off-peak rates is still solid value for a transpacific haul. Availability is low so if this works for your dates, don't sleep on it.

If you prefer paying cash over points on some of these routes, it's worth checking Friday Flight Deals - they track cheap cash fares and sometimes the cash price undercuts the points value on transpacific routes.

✈️ Economy Deals: Departing from Europe

London to Hong Kong - Economy - 45,000 points | May 25-29 | Availability: Medium

Frankfurt to Hong Kong - Economy - 45,000 points | May 22-26 | Availability: Medium

UK readers - Smart With Points has great coverage of Avios and UK credit card options that could help you unlock these Europe-to-Asia routes with your existing points balances.
