If You've Been Sitting on a Pile of Avios, Today's the Day
Three routes caught my eye this week - and one of them is a genuine sweet spot that doesn't get talked about enough. London to Boston in economy for just 27,500 Avios one-way is off-peak pricing at its finest, and there's high availability across multiple dates in May.
But that's not all. The transfer bonuses active right now - including a 70% bonus from Chase to IHG and a 30% bonus from Capital One to JAL - are changing the calculus on a lot of these deals. I've crunched the numbers below so you can see the real cost in transferable points.

Why is this the deal of the week? A few reasons. First, 88,000 Avios is the off-peak rate for this route - and it's genuinely available right now, not a theoretical price. Second, Boston is one of the most underrated transatlantic business class destinations. You clear customs fast, the city is walkable, and if you're connecting onward, Logan is a breeze.
Third - and this is the kicker - if you're holding Chase Ultimate Rewards points, there's a 20% transfer bonus to Aeroplan active until April 30. That's not directly applicable here, but it signals that Chase is being generous right now. If you need to top up Avios, consider the transfer routes available to you.
